can you please add an option to disable viewing the changelog after the update? thanks
Hi Merbit,
Sorry I can not. If there is an important change in the add-on I have to inform the people. That way support efforts will be minimized.
Didn’t work for me. It still defaults to the useless Yahoo search page. I’ve followed the instructions on other sites to get the change done correctly on my other computers. I had just hoped this would be easier! :(
Hi JenDiggity,
Feeling Lucky Fixer does not fix the Yahoo page but the OpenDNS Guide page. High probably you are using an add-on which defaults your search terms to Yahoo. Try to disable them.
Hello,
I just installed the “feeling lucky fixer” extension. It’s lightweight and does the job. I appreciate that, thanks.
I’m curious if you would add a feature. I often use some of the specifiers in google searches… namely site: ext: and filetype: With your extension installed, I’m now typing these in the URL bar, and firefox thinks they’re protocols, like “http:” or “https:”.
Would you consider having your extensions move site:whatever, ext:whatever, and filetype:whatever to the end of the url string if the user types them at the beginning? If that’s not possible, would you register them as protocols then write into the “protocol handler” to rewrite the url? I found some example code for that on the web, and it appears pretty simple.
Thanks for considering,
Jason
This was the page I found with the sample code for registering protocols just to rewrite the URL http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.dev.tech.network/browse_thread/thread/7a86409c7877b2ac
